Amin Turk Professional Hunter

Born in Zimbabwe Amin was at the age of 13 when the “hunting bug” bit and he’s deep passion for hunting and wildlife began. This took him on the journey of fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a professional hunter.

He has been hunting dangerous game for the last 25 years and since obtaining he’s Professional Hunters License of Zimbabwe, he has been successfully guiding clients, for the last 17 years. Amin has also been a proud member of the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters and Guides Association (ZPHGA) for the same period of time.

Building, running, operating and marketing he’s own safari camps in the past, provided him with invaluable experience in the industry and granted him the good fortune of forming many life-long friendships in the process.

He lives in a little town called Marondera, east of Zimbabwe, with he’s wife Salma, and four children, who are all keen hunters and conservationists.

Amir TurkProfessional Hunter

Born in Zimbabwe in 1991, Amir was raised in a hunting family and has grown up under the direct guidance and tutelage of his dad, who is a qualified Professional Hunter. From a young age Amir developed an appreciation for hunting and gained a keen understanding of the African bush and all it has to offer.

Having hunted many plains game species since the age of 8, he finally had his dream come true and shot his first elephant and buffalo at the age of 16. From that point his passion for hunting dangerous game developed.
After completing high school Amir started his apprenticeship with Side by Side Safaris and accompanied numerous hunts throughout Zimbabwe soaking in all the big game experience he could. He then went on to obtain his full Professional Hunters Licence.

During his free time he studied online through the University of South Africa and qualified with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

Amir is passionate, mature and has a deep love for wildlife and conservation. He believes strongly in fair chase, sustainable, ethical hunting which forms the ethos in which the company is built around.

Save Valley

At 900,000 acres in Zimbabwe`s south eastern Lowveld, the Save Valley Conservancy is one of the largest private game reserves in Africa, and is considered by many to be one of the best free-range hunting areas on the continent.

Side by Side Safaris is dedicated to the sustainable use of flora and fauna which inhabit this prime hunting area. The Save Valley is well known to have healthy numbers of the Big 4, and both the black and white rhino may be encountered, as well as an abundance of plains game. Magnificent trophies of all species are hunted annually.

The hunts can be put into packages on your request. There is a limited quota per year that assures the sustainable offtake of wildlife, and your Professional Hunter will adhere to a high standard of hunting ethics, which assures the overall quality of the hunt.

The accommodation on offer is outstanding, with a full complement of staff working around the clock to ensure a comfortable stay.
